This lunchtime learning seminar brought to you by Yorkshire and Rural Teaching Partnership and University of Huddersfield promotes communication and knowledge sharing between academics and social work and social care professionals.
This session will explore the issue of peer related child sexual abuse. There will be an opportunity for participants to discuss approaches to recognising and responding to this this issue, including working with young people who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour.
Speaker
Vicky Styan, Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Huddersfield. Vicky has worked with children and families in statutory and non-statutory contexts. Most recently Vicky has been a Team Manager for a service working with children who display harmful sexual behaviour.
