Job description

Calderdale Adult Social Care is proud to have older people’s teams to serve the people of Calderdale over the age of 65 years. We currently have an opportunity for a qualified Level 2 Social Worker to join this specialist team.

The Central team is located at the Shay Stadium in Halifax and have excellent links with the our colleagues based at Calderdale Royal Hospital and with the Elland and Hebden Bridge older people locality teams, plus other teams throughout the borough .The community team covers the North and Central areas of Halifax and also carries out assessments in out of area hospitals. We are at the exciting point in the development in adult services and the successful candidate will have opportunity to shape practice to deliver improvements for those who use our services.

We actively promote the team as a learning environment which ensures quality standards are maintained and we are up-to-date and responsive to new developments that impact upon the lives of individuals in the local community.

The Older Peoples Team works tirelessly with individuals, their families, carers and other professionals to uphold human rights.

Social Workers receive Continuous Professional Development.
