Make Care Matter! Make a difference, change a life

We would happily welcome you to join our team and have a range of hours available for you on a full, part time and relief basis.

You might be looking for a new career, the next step, looking to get back into work or perhaps needing an additional income on top of existing work. Most importantly, we are looking for people with the right values and commitment to delivering quality care as you will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of the residents. Due to the nature of the role, good verbal and written communication skills are required to liaise with residents, staff and other professionals and record resident’s information on service plans.

Springfield Garth is an elderly person’s home which provides personal care and accommodation for people with various care needs. We pride ourselves on the care we deliver and you will work as part of a small, dedicated team, delivering personal care to vulnerable people, ensuring their dignity and maximise their independence.

If you’ve got experience, that’s great, we’d love to hear from you. If not, don’t worry, we’ll give you all the help and support you need to settle in quickly. If you do not already hold the Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, that isn’t a problem! All we ask is for your commitment to study the qualification with full support and training from us to help you to develop. Staff development is important to us so we will also pay for you to complete it via our apprenticeship training route.

As a vast employer in North Yorkshire, our care provision is always in demand therefore joining our team could lead to further opportunities in the future, whether that be in our team or perhaps a different area of the service.

To apply, you must have the flexibility to work on a rota which may include evenings and alternate weekends, depending on your contracted hours. If you would like to discuss particular working patterns / hours in more detail, give us a call and we would be happy to discuss.

We offer a range of benefits including:

• Opportunity to start a career with a leading care provider • Enhancement for weekend working / night working • Enhancement for holiday/annual leave entitlement if employed on relief basis • Starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications • Competitive rate of pay and progression • Training and support which will include minimum training to Level 2 in Social Care and Care Certificate, both of which are transferable qualifications • Access to range of salary sacrifice schemes and discounts including green car scheme, childcare vouchers and home technology scheme • Variety of competitive benefits including generous leave entitlement, career average pension scheme with excellent benefits

Band 4 - If you are joining us pre- April 2019 you can expect the hourly rate to be £8.68 - £9.01. From April 2019 you will be paid in the line with our 2019 pay award rising up to £9.36 - £9.55 per hour.
