Social Work Events World Social Work Day 2021

For World Social Work Day 2021, the Teaching Partnership will celebrate with a learning event for Practice Educators and Students focusing on wellbeing and resilience.  The event will include student nominated awards to recognise the commitment and hard work of our Practice Educators.

The theme for World Social Work Day is Ubuntu: I am because we are – Strengthening Social Work Solidarity and Global Connectedness.  Ubuntu originates from the indigenous people of South Africa and was popularised across the world by Nelson Mandela.  Ubuntu: ‘I am because we are’ is an idea that resonates with the social work profession in recoginising the interconnectedness of all people and their environments.

Please note students are invited to attend at 11.10am.

This event will be delivered using Zoom.  Access instructions will be emailed to all participants prior to the event.  Participants will need to ensure they have a device with video and audio.
